And of course I didn’t slept. I was lucky enough to have two seats for myself so I tried quite a few sleeping positions, but no can do. As usual, brain won’t shut up, and my mind becomes the eye of the beholder of my tired body.

By the way I just spent 17 of last 24 h in trains.

But at least we’re not too late in Oslo so I have plenty of time before my next train. The good thing today is that it’s a full train day, no walking with the heavy backpack. However, it’s a pretty fragmented journey, with a first stop in the small town of Hamar.

There I took a train from another company, SJ Norde, which I must say was quite comfortable, with reclining seats and all. Very good for the 70th train of the Tour. Supposedly, you should be able to do Oslo to Trondheim in a single train, but, if I read correctly, since the big storm that hit Northern Europe last year, a bridge was damage, so now you have to take a replacement bus.

I decided to take it for the shortest possible length, which is between the villages of Fåvang and Ringebu, with only 15 min between the two. There isn’t much to do in Ringebu, and I wasn’t quite in shape for a hike, so I just strolled quickly around and waited at the station.

So far I haven’t had enough time to sleep this morning, and I feel absolutely exhausted. I almost forgot my small bag in Fåvang even! Hence the four hours ride to Trondheim with reclining seat was very welcome. Unfortunate that I missed some stunning sceneries, but I fell deep slaeep quickly for an hour. I woke up to find more crazy snowy mountain vistas. That’s what I call luxury.

Snow ceded its way progressively as we got closer to the coast. We reached Trondheim shortly before sunset, allowing me to take some pretty cool pics of the Trondheimfjord. Again, the Northern boundary of the Great European Train Tour got pushed further today.

Tonight I’m at a airbnb. It’s the first night I spend in my own room since Belfast, over two weeks ago! I crashed out early.
