🇨🇿 Praha

For Duha’s last day on the Great European Train Tour, she wanted to experiment with ChatGPT. So we made it read this blog, and asked it to write today’s article of our exploration of Praha [Prague]. Here is the result, where I’ve added a couple things between square brackets:

Waking to the promise of a Prague adventure, we were out the door with the dawn. Our first mission: to conquer the west tower of Charles Bridge. The tram ride there was like flipping through a slowly waking photo album of Prague life. The view from the tower was breathtaking, a panoramic embrace of the city’s soul.

Next, [after a second tram,] we chased the castle. Climbing its steps felt like ascending into history, each stone steeped in stories. The castle loomed, grand and unyielding, a testament to Prague’s past.

The journey led us to Prague’s narrowest street, a curious whisper of the city’s medieval tapestry, tucked away like a secret.

Our plans for the funicular were foiled, but Prague had a sweet consolation – ice cream. It was a reminder that sometimes, it’s the unplanned moments that delight the most.

Returning early [by tram], we were full – not just of ice cream, but of experiences, stories, and the unique beauty that is Prague. It’s these moments, unexpected and perfectly imperfect, that weave the richest memories.

Reading this again, it’s quite obvious that it didn’t quite managed to capture my writing style, but it’s still a fun experience!

I would just add some tips if you want to visit Praha: go to the West tower of Charles bridge, and it’s half price between 10 and 11 AM; climb to Praha Castle from Park Holubička for fewer people around, and the craziest view over the city; Eat ice-cream La Crème de la crème, it was insanely tasty; last but not least, spend time walking everywhere, it’s a crazy beautiful city. You’ll never get bored of the dozens of churches, towers, bridges, castle, the house Jack built, museums, cobbled streets, whatever.

We came back to the appartment for a third(!) night in Praha, and packed everything for an early morning.

Also, I’m very pissed off that I totally forgot to activate the GPS track today until 16, so basically just before we went back to the airbnb…
