You know the drill: we started, rather late, by taking the train to the island. It was very crowded, as last night, and the boat we boarded immediately was full full full. We managed to sit after 30 min, for the second half to our destination: Lido.

Lido is a 12 km long island facing East, and is the outer enclosure of Venezia [Venice] lagoon. As such, it is one of the few places there to go to the beach.

Yes, today is a simple, relaxing beach day. Duha, being a coast town kid and hardwired to the sea, was adamant on doing one, and who am I to refuse. I hadn’t swim that much in ages, and it felt great. We stayed there most of the afternoon.

Later we finally ate a truly awesome gelatto, and a delicious restaurant. We barely missed watching the sunset from the boat back, but it was still beautiful.

As per usual, the train bring us back to the airbnb.
