Explain this, flat-earthers 🇩🇰

🇩🇰 Aarhus → Rønde → Knebel → Rønde → Aarhus

At breakfast, I reunite with Marlon, the young German guy that you might remember from my birthday in Utrecht four days ago. Funny that we both went at the same time in such random towns as Utrecht and Aarhus.

Today, we’re going for a day trip to the nearby Mols Bjerge NP. It’s located along the coast to the East of Aarhus, and features many historical and prehistorical signs of human civilizations, a hilly scenery (to be honest, I expected it to be flat as Kansas, oops), and a very diverse flora.

We get there by taking a couple of buses (12 € for a day pass! Damn I knew that the Danish Realm was expensive but still…) We had one hour wait between both buses in Rønde, so we went to visit the ruins of the Kalø castle. There is not much left of it, but it’s located on a small hilly peninsula. You can climb inside to get a great panoramic view over the bay and the coast around.

However, once we reached the heart of the park, it started to rain lightly as soon as we left the bus in Knebel [Knebel, Denmark]. We still went on, over the hills and into the woods, but the weather kept getting shittier, so we much shortened the hike after about an hour of walking, turned back and waited the bus back for an hour. It was underwhelming to say the least, and it would have been great to reach higher viewpoints, but by this weather it was just not worth the hassle really. And I’ve already been sick these last two days, I don’t want to turn further into a Leper Messiah decaminating its germs through Europe.

Still, we got to see an ancient burial monument, made up of 12 t stones pilled up like a small house. How the hell did they managed to pull that up in the Stone age?!

In the evening, Marlon treated me to a pizza and we had a nice talk. It’s scary how much this guy know about transports, city planning and infrastructure at only 18!
