Just another full Poland crossing 🇵🇱

21/03/2024

🇵🇱 Gdańsk → Wrocław

A late wake up, appartment cleaning, and a good coffee, and we were finally on our way out of Gdańsk. It was a pleasant stay, and, even though it was far from being a siesta (we walked a LOT), it was still refreshing to put the backpack down for more than two nights.

For the first time in this trip, and after over 80 trains, we sat into a compartment. At first we only shared it with one or two person, so it was quite nice, but then more came and we ended up being full, and had to change seats multiple times. Well, at least we didn’t get kicked out, which is always nice.

The five hours passed rather quickly, and we were again back in southern Poland. It’s the third time in less than a week that I cross this country in a North-South line. That’s what I call optimized route!

Finally, we had sun, and even a nice sunset. We took the tram to the hostel, stayed there a bit to chill, and went back out for a small walk around Wrocław. We went to the islands on the river, ate at a delicious Indian restaurant, then came across a crazy student party in a park, with gorgeous views of the glorious Aula Leopoldina auditorium, reflecting in the Oder river. We rounded up the tour at the large market square.

Here’s the freakin kool thrill/kill/ride medley of a video for week 6:

Train count: + 2
Total: 108
