Slept nearly 12 h because of that migraine. I’m up early and go directly to the bus station (The rail link to Serbia is closed for renovation). Both the overly unfriendly women at the booth didn’t peak a word of english, and showed me pretty evidently that they couldn’t be bothered with me. Thankfully a local came to my rescue by translating: there are no buses to Serbia today, try tomorrow. Ah.

The migraine might be mostly over, but the headache is only starting. Time to make some frenetic plans. The woman who helped me advised me to try to go from Vukovar, but I can’t see a lot of places to stay for the night there, and I don’t want to risk being stuck in a smalle town. So I re-book the Airbnb for the night, move my stay at tonight’s hostel in Нови Сад (Novi Sad) for tomorrow and buy a bus seat for tomorrow afternoon.

I am thus with a day to kill in Osijek, where there is not much to do I’m affraid. The main square and the area along the river on the North of town are cute though. But I still have that migraine in the background, and I need to get back to the appartment where Marko has arranged a way for me to pick up the keys. Once in, I fall asleep again. I need to reload my batteries.

I then wrote in my travel diary, sitting on the balcony, in front of an epic cloudy sunset, before heading to dinner.
